HTI works at the strategic interface between business and education to better align the messages of tomorrow's world with current educational thinking.
HTI is a registered charity (no. 1003627), established in 1986 by leading business people to bring closer together the worlds of business and education. Sir Digby Jones, Director General Confederation of British Industry [CBI] is HTI's President.
HTI works with the DfES in major areas within education such as inclusion, risk awareness and environmental sustainability. Projects with the DTI and other government departments involve alignments of future thinking with education.
HTI also works with the National College for School Leadership (NCSL) to deliver leadership programmes for Headteachers and aspiring Headteachers as well as Skills for Leadership courses throughout the country developed in conjunction with business partners.
